ABOUT BRENT LUVAAS

Brent Luvaas, PhD. is Professor of Global Studies & Modern Languages at Drexel University. A visual and cultural anthropologist, his work explores the relationships between digital technology, creative production, and the urban environment. He is the author of the books You Can Never Go Offline Again (Routledge 2026), Street Style: An Ethnography of Fashion Blogging (Bloomsbury 2016) and DIY Style: Fashion, Music, and Digital Cultures (Bloomsbury 2012), and co-editor (with Joanne Eicher) of The Anthropology of Dress and Fashion: A Reader (Bloomsbury 2019). He is also a Faculty Member of Drexel's PhD. program in Communication, Culture, and Media.
